Privacy notice
This notice explains what data Taksiverkosto collects, why, how long it is kept and how you can influence it.
Publisher and data controller
Taksiverkosto is a trademark that is exclusively licensed to Karinen Consulting Oy. The data controller is Karinen Consulting Oy, Business ID (Y-tunnus) 3392239-4, email rekry@taksiverkosto.com. Recruitment and other contact with registered people is done in the name of Taksiverkosto.
What data we collect
We collect data only when you register. Using the rest of the site does not require you to give any data.
When you register as a driver:
- name, phone number and city or town (required)
- email address (optional)
- whether you have a taxi driving licence (taksiajolupa), are applying for one or do not have one yet
- your choice on whether taxi companies may see your details (optional, the default is no)
- an optional attachment (application or CV, PDF, Word, JPG or PNG, under 5 MB). You choose the content of the attachment. It may include, for example, work history, education and contact details. Leave out your personal identity number. The attachment is not published on the site.
You can also send an open application by email to rekry@taksiverkosto.com. We handle an application that arrives by email in the same way as an application attached to the form.
When you register as a taxi operator:
- company name and Business ID (Y-tunnus)
- name, phone number and city or town of the contact person (required)
- email address of the contact person (optional)
- whether you are looking for drivers
In both cases: your consent, the version of the notice you agreed to, and the time of registration. We also store how you found us: the first page of the site where you started your visit, any utm tags in the link (utm_source, utm_campaign) and the name of the referring site (for example google.com). With these we follow which page or channel brings registrations. We do not add your IP address, cookies or device identifiers to the data you give in the form. Statistics of the site are collected separately with your consent, see Cookies and analytics. The first-page information stays in the session memory of your browser only as long as the tab is open.
We do not ask for your personal identity number. We do not ask about your education or training. Training is not a condition for registering or for job matching.
What we use the data for
We use the data (including the attachment) to recruit drivers and to bring drivers and taxi companies together through Taksiverkosto. We contact you by phone, text message or email about work and about your registration. Source data is used only to see the number of registrations by page and by channel.
Legal basis
We process your data based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation). You give consent in the form by ticking the box. For the contact person of a taxi operator, the contact person gives the consent. The choice about visibility to taxi companies is a separate consent, and not giving it does not prevent you from registering.
Who receives the data
A driver's details can be shown to taxi companies only if you have separately chosen in the form that your details are shown to taxi companies. Without this choice, your details are not given to taxi companies. A taxi operator's details are not given to third parties.
The data is stored in Google's Firebase and Firestore service. The server is in the EU (europe-north1). A driver's attachment is stored in Google's Firebase Storage service, where only we can read it. Google acts as a data processor on behalf of Karinen Consulting Oy. The data is not given to anyone else and it is not sold.
How long we keep the data
We keep the data until you ask us to delete it, or for at most 24 months from our last contact with you or your last contact with us. After that the data is deleted. The same applies to the attachment and to an application sent by email.
Your rights

- to ask for your data to be corrected or deleted
- to withdraw your consent at any time, also the visibility choice alone. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing done before the withdrawal.
- to ask for restriction of processing and to transfer your data to another service
- to make a complaint to the supervisory authority: Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman
You can send requests to rekry@taksiverkosto.com. We reply within one month at the latest. Giving data is voluntary. Without the required data we cannot register you. We do not make automated decisions and we do not do profiling.
Company directory
The company directory (in Finnish) on the site is based on open data of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH), retrieved on 2 November 2026. We publish the company name, company form, Business ID (Y-tunnus), municipality and the website given in the PRH data. Street addresses are not published. The data is public company information, and its processing is based on a legitimate interest in providing an up-to-date directory. If you want your company's data removed from the directory or corrected, send a request to rekry@taksiverkosto.com. We remove the listing on request. Corrections to the source data are made in the PRH register.
Counting visits
We count how many times pages are opened. The counting does not use cookies or identifiers. When you open a page, your browser sends the address of the page, the date and the name of the site you came from (for example google.com) to Google's Firestore service (server in Finland). The service increases the daily number for that page by one. We do not store your IP address or anything else that could identify you, so the numbers cannot be linked to you. The only exception is a setting for the administrator, which lets the administrator leave their own visits uncounted.
Cookies and analytics
When you open a page, we show a choice where you can accept statistics or choose only the necessary. Both options are equally easy to choose. Before you choose, no identifier is stored in your browser and no analytics is loaded. Page openings are still counted without identifiers, as described under Counting visits.
Necessary
Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage (key tv_suostumus), so that we do not ask on every page. This storage is necessary to remember the choice, and it does not need consent. The choice is asked again after 12 months.
Tracking of returning visitors
If you accept statistics, we store a random identifier in your browser's localStorage (key tv_kavija). The identifier does not show your name, email address or IP address. When you leave the page, we store one row in Google's Firestore service (server in Finland): the name of the site, the day, the path of the page, the device type (mobile, tablet or computer), the identifier, whether you are a new or a returning visitor, the number of your visit and how many seconds the page was visible. With this we see whether visitors return to the site and which pages are read. We do not store your IP address or exact browser identification. The rows are deleted after 14 months.
Legal basis and withdrawing consent
Statistics are based on your consent (section 205 of the Finnish Act on Electronic Communications Services and Article 6(1)(a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer or from the link above. When you choose only the necessary, we remove the identifier from your browser and we do not store new rows. Rows that are already stored can no longer be linked to you. You can also delete cookies and the stored data of the site in your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing done before the withdrawal.
Server
The server of the site processes technical data, such as the IP address and browser data, so that the page can be delivered and protected against misuse.
Changes
We update this notice when the processing changes. The latest version is always on this page.
